Eligibility Criteria for the Thomson Foundation Young Journalist Award
The following requirements must be satisfied by applicants in order to be eligible for the Thomson Foundation Young Journalist Award:
- Age: The age requirement for applicants is 30 or under.
- Nationality: Candidates must originate from nations where the Gross National Income (GNI) per person is less than $20,000.
- Language: Entries may be submitted in any language, but they must be accompanied by a reliable English translation.
- All Applicants shall be reporting from their country of residence, as determined by the GNI, or from a comparable country.
- Additionally, applicants must explain in their submitted stories any collaborations they have had with peers or outside groups.
